Back for More - D2R2 180K Gravel Ride | 110 Miles & 14,000 ft
For the second year in a row, Adam and I took on the legendary D2R2 β Deerfield Dirt Road Randonnee, organized and supported by the Franklin Land Trust. The ride starts in Deerfield, Massachusetts and tackles some of the biggest paved and gravel climbs in the region. We rode the 180 km route (about 110 miles with 14,000 feet of elevation gain). The video includes our drive up with reflections on last year, a short shake-out ride the night before, full coverage of event day, and our reflections on the drive home.

What is D2R2? The Deerfield Dirt Road Randonnee is a New England classic, known for brutally steep dirt and mixed-surface climbs, quiet farm roads, and big views. Multiple route options are available, with the 180 km route among the hardest single-day gravel challenges in the region. Proceeds support the Franklin Land Trust, helping conserve open land across western Massachusetts.
