Tour de Rhody 2025 | Riding Closed Roads Around the Scituate Reservoir

For the latest episode of the It’s Just A Hill vlog, I take you along for the 2025 Tour de Rhody — a charity ride supporting cancer research with Brown University Health. This year Jocelyn and I rolled out from home to the start line, joined up with friends from the Rhode Island cycling community, and rode the scenic loop around the Scituate Reservoir.

What makes Tour de Rhody unique is the chance to ride on Providence Water Supply roads that are normally closed to the public. Questionable pavement, quiet and car-free riding, and the backdrop of the protected watershed make it one of the most special events in New England.

The event isn’t just about the ride — it’s about supporting local cancer research right here in Rhode Island. Every pedal stroke helps raise awareness and funds for life-saving work.
